Venus Optics has released the Laowa ACRIS 35mm f/2.8 macro, which it says is the first full-frame autofocus 35mm to reach 1:1 magnification. A WSJ feature reports that Leica's potential sale has been shelved, and Sigma Germany has confirmed a product announcement event on October 24. Elsewhere, Jean-Pierre Laffont looks back on photographing the Savage Skulls in 1972.
