The 49th Leitz Photographica Auction takes place November 28, offering 400-plus lots with estimates from three to six figures in euro. The standout lot is a fully operational Leica BOX 18x24mm prototype (serial number 000.01) from the mid-1950s, one of only two ever made, expected to fetch €400,000 to €500,000 (roughly AUD $445,000 to $557,000). A Leica R6 owned and used by Sebastião Salgado during the Kuwait Gulf War oil field documentation is also on offer, along with a re-edition of the Elcan 66mm f/2 lens.
