A 40-1200mm cine zoom is absurd in the best possible way — if you shoot wildlife documentaries, broadcast sports, or anything where swapping lenses mid-action is not an option, this is the only lens that covers wide-to-ultra-telephoto in a single barrel. No stills shooter needs this, but the documentary and broadcast crew who's been duct-taping two lenses together for a similar range finally has a purpose-built answer.
