If you run EF glass on a working kit and have been putting off a backup 70-200, the clock just ran out. Canon has pulled the plug on production of the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM III. Retail stock exists, but once it's gone it's gone — and Canon isn't making more. For anyone still shooting EF bodies or using EF via adapter on R-series, used market prices on this lens will move. The RF transition has been grinding through the EF catalogue one lens at a time, and the 70-200 f/2.8 was about as iconic as it gets.
