Canon's Q2 2026 results show net sales at a second-quarter record and operating profit up 35.2% to 159.2 billion yen. Compact camera demand drove much of the growth, and Canon is expanding production again in H2 with a target of 50%-plus full-year sales growth in that category. Canon also recovered 90% of the additional US tariffs that had been passed on through price increases. Full-frame interchangeable-lens camera sales grew quarter-on-quarter, led by the EOS R6 Mark III, though Canon trimmed its full-year ILC market forecast to 6.45 million units citing the Middle East situation.
