Chinese Brands Flood Fujifilm X and GFX with New AF Lenses
Fujifilm shooters have long had a thinner third-party AF ecosystem compared to Sony E-mount or Canon RF. That's changing fast. A stack of Chinese manufacturers just showed their hand at China P&E, unveiling multiple autofocus lenses across both X-mount and the GFX medium format system. The GFX side is the real story: native AF glass for medium format has always been expensive and scarce, and if even one of these lenses ships at a competitive price point, it meaningfully lowers the barrier for working photographers running GFX bodies. Watch which of these actually hit shelves, because announcements at Chinese trade shows don't always become products you can buy. But the volume here suggests momentum, not just theatre.
