DaVinci Resolve's Photo Tool: Real Competition or Video Editor Cosplay?

Resolve 21's Photo tool is genuinely interesting if you already live in Resolve for video work. For a hybrid shooter cutting between stills and footage in the same project, the appeal is obvious: one application, one colour pipeline, no round-tripping. But if your stills workflow is Lightroom or Capture One right now, nothing in this beta is pulling you away. Resolve's colour grading heritage is world-class; its photo culling, metadata handling, and DAM features are not, and that gap is what actually matters on delivery day. Worth watching, not worth switching.
