The FCC is moving against eight companies alleged to be importing DJI-based cameras, drones, and wireless gear into the US under clone brand names. The proposed fine is $25,000 per company, triggered by their failure to respond to formal FCC inquiries rather than a confirmed breach of equipment rules. July 20 is the response deadline. This follows the FCC adding DJI to its Covered List in late 2025, which blocked new DJI radio products from receiving US equipment authorisation.
