GoPro's ITC complaint against Insta360 closed in February 2026 with a limited design patent win, but all five utility patents covering stabilisation and horizon levelling were ruled invalid or not infringed. Current Insta360 cameras are unaffected. DJI has separately filed suit in Shenzhen claiming patents developed by former employees now at Insta360 are rightfully DJI's under Chinese law, and has also filed Texas infringement suits; Insta360 has countersued in the U.S. on five patents.
