Four Shortlisted for the Winston Taylor Portrait Prize 2026

The National Portrait Gallery has shortlisted four photographers for the Winston Taylor Photo Portrait Prize 2026: James Clifford Kent, Marcie Docherty, Katie Hitchcock-Smith, and Max Pattenden. Selected from 3,977 entries, the winner gets £15,000 and a separate £8,000 commission to produce work for the gallery's permanent collection. Winner announced 3 November 2026; exhibition open from 5 November.
