If you shoot events, weddings, or editorial on Fujifilm X-mount, the 16-55mm f/2.8 is your workhorse range. The MkII exists now, and the real question isn't whether it's better — it's whether it's better enough to retire a lens that's already doing the job. Fujifilm's red badge standard means the original wasn't soft to begin with, so MkI owners need a concrete reason to upgrade, not just a newer badge.
