GoPro Joins Micro Four Thirds Standards Group

GoPro is now an official member of the Micro Four Thirds standards group, confirmed by OM Digital Solutions and Panasonic. The membership follows the Mission 1 Pro ILS, GoPro's rugged compact body built around an MFT mount. Worth noting: that mount has no electronic contacts, so it only works with manual-focus lenses and manual or fixed-aperture designs. Separately, Insta360 has said it's working on its own mirrorless camera reportedly built around MFT as well, though that remains unconfirmed.
