Ibraaz, a new London centre off Oxford Street, is showing Hrair Sarkissian's Stolen Past: lithophane reliefs of artefacts looted from Syria's Raqqa Museum between 2013 and 2017, lit from below so the images appear and vanish with the light. Gabrielle Goliath's Elegy, a multichannel video work mourning victims of violence including South African femicide victim Ipeleng Christine Moholane and Palestinian poet Heba Abunada, arrives in October after its controversial cancellation from the Venice Biennale's South African Pavilion.
