Leica has confirmed the Summicron-M 66 f/2, a limited run of 660 numbered lenses reinterpreting the Elcan 66mm f/2 originally developed by Dr. Walter Mandler. It's an M-mount, six-element design, 456g, with a 1m minimum focus distance, nine-blade aperture, and E49 filter thread. The aperture ring rotates opposite to standard M lenses, and the focusing scale follows the original military spec arrangement. No pricing announced yet.
