Leica has announced the Summicron-M 66mm f/2, built as a reinterpretation of the Elcan 66mm f/2 that Dr. Walter Mandler designed at Ernst Leitz Canada in the late 1960s for intelligence applications. New M-mount glass at an unusual focal length with a documented optical lineage.
