LK Samyang's 14-24mm F2.8 Lands on L-Mount at Half the Weight of Sigma

L-mount shooters finally have a serious alternative to the Sigma 14-24mm F2.8, and the weight difference alone makes this worth your attention. LK Samyang's version comes in at 441g versus Sigma's 795g. That's 354g you're not carrying through a construction site or a three-hour corporate walkabout. The front filter thread is the other thing that matters. Every other 14-24mm F2.8 on L-mount uses rear sheet filters because of the bulbous front element. Rear filters are fiddly, proprietary, and annoying. A standard 77mm front thread means your existing filter system works out of the box. For architecture, landscape, and real estate shooters on Lumix S or Leica SL bodies, this is a genuinely practical option shipping right now, not a roadmap promise.
