Memory Chip Costs Squeezing Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Sony Margins

Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm and Sony have all flagged rising memory chip costs in their latest financials. Canon is looking at roughly $313 million USD in additional annual spend; Fujifilm has revised its memory budget up by $88 million, with $50 million of that sitting in its imaging division. Fujifilm has already confirmed it will offset costs through pricing, while Canon and Nikon say increases are on the table.
