Michael Jang's JANG: Street Archive Meets Anti-Racism Response

Michael Jang took his 1973 family photo series The Jangs off the archive shelf and onto the streets during the pandemic's wave of anti-Asian violence, wheat-pasting prints across boarded-up San Francisco storefronts alongside hand-drawn posters. The resulting photobook JANG combines that archival material with the public installation work.
