Sony A7R VI Rumoured for May: 67MP, 8K, 30fps RAW

auto_awesomePixelfetch Take
If the specs hold, the A7R VI finally fixes the one thing that's kept the R-series from being a true hybrid workhorse — the video ceiling. 8K30p oversampled plus 4K120p on a 67MP stacked sensor means commercial and editorial photographers stop having to choose between resolution and motion. The A7R V's 4K60p cap has been its biggest liability against the R5 II and Z8. This would close that gap entirely — and 30fps 14-bit RAW bursts on a resolution body would make it the most capable single camera in Sony's lineup for studio-to-action workflows. Worth watching, but wait for the confirmation before adjusting any upgrade plans.
