Sony FE 100-400mm F5.6-8.0 OSS: Sub-$1000 E-Mount Tele

Sony's new FE 100-400mm F5.6-8.0 OSS comes in under USD $1000 and weighs 645g — roughly half the weight of the Tamron 50-400mm or Sigma 100-400mm. It's teleconverter-compatible, extending to 140-560mm or 200-800mm. On APS-C bodies it covers a 150-600mm equivalent range. Focus runs on dual linear motors (not Sony's XD units), and Sony confirms compatibility with the a9 III's 120fps mode. Filter thread is 67mm.
