The Mexican Suitcase: 4,500 Spanish Civil War Negatives Found

Three cardboard boxes arrived at the International Center of Photography in New York in December 2007, carrying 126 rolls of 35mm film and around 4,500 negatives shot during the Spanish Civil War by Robert Capa, Gerda Taro, and David Seymour. The material had been missing since 1939. All three photographers were killed on assignment.
