Third-party glass has been dismantling brand-name pricing for a few years now, mostly in primes. Autofocus zooms were the last holdout. Thypoch just broke that open. The Voyager 24-50mm F2.8 for Sony E-mount is the first full-frame AF zoom from a Chinese manufacturer, and at $649 it's roughly a third of what Sony charges for comparable native glass. The 24-50mm range is a practical event and editorial focal length, not a vanity spec. If the autofocus tracks reliably under pressure, this lens earns a spot in a working kit. That's the only question worth asking right now.
