The original Viltrox 35mm f/1.2 Lab was a genuinely impressive optic that handled like a prototype. The N version fixes that. Ditch the OLED screen nobody asked for, replace the fiddly control ring with a real aperture ring, and suddenly you have a fast 35mm that shoots the way your hands expect. The glass is the same, which means it's still punching well above its price point against first-party options. If you're on Nikon Z and shooting anything where a 35mm f/1.2 earns its keep, this is the version to actually buy.
