Viltrox Drops Nine Lenses at China P&E Including 35mm F/1.4 Pro

Nine lenses in one announcement is a lot of noise, but the signal here is real. Viltrox is systematically dismantling the price justification for first-party glass across Sony E, Nikon Z, and now L-mount. The 35mm F/1.4 Pro with an aperture ring and cinema-friendly controls is the one to watch — that's a lens aimed squarely at hybrid shooters who want tactile control without paying Sigma Art money. The APS-C additions at F/1.2 are genuinely fast for the format, useful for event and documentary work where you're not swapping to full-frame. The L-mount expansion is the quieter story but arguably the smarter play — Panasonic S and Leica SL shooters have had thin third-party options for years. Nothing ships until it ships, but the 35mm Pro is reportedly landing next week, so this isn't vaporware.
