Zeiss Horizon: Seven Full-Frame 2x Anamorphic Cinema Primes

Zeiss has announced the Horizon Anamorphic series: seven full-frame 2x anamorphic cinema primes at 35, 40, 50, 75, 100, 150, and 200mm, all T2.3 except the 200mm at T2.9. The standout feature is a swappable rear optical element that lets you shift the look and character of each lens without losing calibration or scale accuracy. Motors for focus and iris are built directly into the body, with ARRI and Preston LCS compatibility via serial or LBUS, so there's no external motor rigging between setups. Consistent 114mm front diameter across the set and LPL mount throughout. The 40, 50, and 75mm start shipping September 2026 through authorised Zeiss cinema dealers; the rest of the set rolls out across 2026 and 2027. Pricing hasn't been announced yet.
