    Viltrox Launching 26mm F/2.8 Pancake and 28mm F/1.8 II on July 15

    Viltrox is set to launch two full-frame lenses on July 15, per Sony Alpha Rumors. The AF 26mm F/2.8 EVO is a pancake lens for Sony E and Nikon Z mounts: 170g, 25.8mm long, STM autofocus, manual focus ring, 0.2m close-focus, and an 8-element optical design with two aspherical elements and HD Nano multilayer coating. The AF 28mm F/1.8 II is a second-generation update to an existing lens, also for both mounts. Worth noting: Viltrox is currently in an IP dispute with Nikon in China over Z-mount technology.

    A leaked image posted by Sony Alpha Rumors shows three upcoming Viltrox autofocus primes: the full-frame AF 35mm F/1.4 Pro, and two APS-C lenses, the AF 18mm F/1.2 Pro and AF 40mm F/1.2 Pro. The 35mm has been seen publicly at China P&E 2026 and is reported to use a VCM autofocus system, metal construction, and 77mm filter thread shared with the AF 50mm and AF 85mm F/1.4 Pro. The two APS-C lenses would extend a lineup that already includes the 27mm, 56mm, and 75mm F/1.2 Pro. No pricing or release dates announced.
