Viltrox AF 26mm F2.8 Evo Review: Sharp Centre, Wild Flare

auto_awesomePixelfetch Take
Viltrox's AF 26mm F2.8 Evo is a pancake-style full-frame prime reviewed on the Nikon Z8. Centre sharpness is solid for the size and price point, vignetting is well-controlled at F2.8, and close-focus distance is a genuine strong suit. Trade-offs include soft edges wide open, longitudinal chromatic aberration in harsh light, low-to-medium barrel distortion (software profile included), and pronounced flare when a bright source sits near the frame edge.
