  1. 10 May 2026 · Software Deal

Topaz Adds Web App and SDR-to-HDR Video, Plus 50% Off Sale

Two things worth separating here. First, the update itself: Topaz now runs its best image models in a browser, which means no install, no VRAM panic, and batch processing from any machine. That's genuinely useful if you're on a client's laptop or running a second workstation without the full suite. The Premiere integration for video models is also worth a look if you're delivering any upscaled or restored footage. Second, the 50% sale. Good price on software that actually earns its keep on archival restoration and client deliverables. If you've been sitting on the fence, this is the window.

    Adobe Acquires Topaz Labs

Adobe is acquiring Topaz Labs, the company behind Gigapixel, Photo AI, and Video AI. The two have been working together since October 2025, when Topaz upscaling, denoise, and sharpening models were folded into Photoshop. Deal closes second half of 2026, regulatory approval pending. Standalone Topaz apps stay available post-acquisition, but Adobe hasn't said anything yet about pricing or how Topaz tools will sit relative to Creative Cloud subscriptions.
