DJI SDR Transmission 2: DCI 4K60 10-Bit, Switchable Transceiver, 4km
DJI's SDR Transmission 2 is now official. It's a single transceiver unit, flip the physical switch and it becomes either TX or RX, replacing the dedicated transmitter/receiver split from the 2024 original. Resolution jumps from 1080p to DCI 4K60 in 10-bit HDR, transmitted as H.265 at up to 50Mbps with 35ms minimum latency and a 4km rated range. One unit can feed up to eight receivers, and DJI says up to five transmitters and 40 receivers can run on the same set. HDMI and USB-C (DisplayPort) are built in; SDI needs the optional Expansion Plate. Single-unit pricing starts at €349 / £309. CineD notes it has been working with the unit under a paid collaboration with DJI, hands-on findings are in a forthcoming video.

DJI SDR Transmission 2 Field Tested: Multi-Cam, Car and Boat
CineD took six DJI SDR Transmission 2 units into real working conditions: a three-camera video village, an RF-obstructed car interior, and an open-water range test on a boat in Vienna. Each transceiver weighs 136g, handles DCI 4K60 10-bit HDR via HDMI or USB-C, and is rated to 4km line-of-sight under CE regs. One transmitter runs up to eight monitoring or control points; the system scales to five transmitters and 40 receivers on a single location. Paid collaboration with DJI, but CineD claims full editorial control over testing and conclusions.
