Thypoch Simera-C 16mm T1.9: Widest in the Cine Line, $879
Thypoch's Simera-C cine prime lineup now starts at 16mm. The new T1.9 is a fully manual full-frame lens with near-zero focus breathing, 106° field of view, and a floating element construction. Available now in Sony E-mount ($879/£665) and Leica M-mount ($959/£726), weighing under 500g in both versions.

Cooke, Thypoch, Blazar, and Zeiss Drop New Cinema Lenses
Four brands have dropped or teased cinema glass in quick succession. Cooke has a new anamorphic set covering 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm at 1.5x squeeze. Thypoch released the Simera-C 16mm T1.9 cine lens alongside a six-lens kit. Blazar announced the Talon 35mm T2.1 with a 1.5x anamorphic squeeze. Zeiss has confirmed the Panoptes 65 cinema lenses for Cine Gear Expo LA (June 5-6), with a separate teaser pointing to a June 2nd reveal described as "the next major advancement in lens technology" — unconfirmed what that product actually is.

Thypoch Simera-C 16mm T1.9 Cinema Lens Launched
Thypoch has launched the Simera-C 16mm T1.9, the widest lens in the series, joining existing 28mm, 35mm, 50mm and 75mm options. It covers full-frame with a 106-degree field of view, T1.9 maximum aperture, 15 elements in 11 groups, and near-zero focus breathing.
