Blackmagic has pushed phase-detect autofocus to the PYXIS 12K in a Mac-only beta, confirming the RGBW sensor supports PDAF after months of open questions since NAB 2025. Sony Alpha Rumors has specs for a new 26MP stacked APS-C sensor pegged for the FX30 II and A6900 — still unconfirmed. On the features side, Steve Simon has released a 2011 interview with Jay Maisel that never ran, recorded while Simon was working on a Nikon book.
