Benedek Lampert Builds Ecosystems from the Waste Destroying Them

Benedek Lampert's eight-image series builds miniature natural landscapes from the waste destroying them — plastic bags stand in for Arctic sea ice, spent bullet casings form elephant terrain. The Hungarian photographer is known for photorealistic Lego constructions, but this project inverts that approach: the materials are meant to be recognised as garbage, not mistaken for the real thing.
