Autofocus at 12mm full-frame rectilinear has basically been a budget dead zone — you either paid Sigma or Laowa prices or you racked focus manually. Brightin Star just changed that, and for astro and architecture shooters especially, a stepping motor AF system at this focal length could be the difference between capturing the moment and fumbling in the dark.
