Lange and Jones spent years photographing Berryessa Valley before it disappeared under Lake Berryessa in 1957. UC has now digitized the full archive and put it online. It's not gear news, but it's a masterclass in purposeful documentary work: two photographers who knew the clock was running and shot accordingly. Worth an hour of your time if you care about why the work matters, not just how it's made.
