Insta360 Luna Opens Reservations in Germany
Insta360's Luna pocket gimbal camera has opened for reservations in Germany. Specs listed on the Insta360 site: 1-inch sensor, Leica Summicron lens, 8K video, 4K up to 120fps, 3-axis built-in gimbal stabilisation, and 10-bit I-Log with Leica colour profiles. No pricing or wider availability announced yet.

DJI Sues Insta360 Over Luna Patents, Insta360 to Fight Back
DJI has filed two U.S. patent lawsuits against Insta360 in the Eastern District of Texas, covering both design and utility patents on the Insta360 Luna. Insta360 is contesting the claims and says it will show the Luna is original, not derived from DJI's intellectual property.

DJI Sues Insta360 Over Six Patent Violations on Luna Camera
DJI is taking Insta360 to court over six patents tied to the Insta360 Luna gimbal camera — two design patents in one suit, four utility patents in the other. Both suits name Arashi Vision Inc., the company behind the Insta360 brand. The claims centre on DJI's Osmo Pocket intellectual property.

GoPro, DJI, Insta360 Patent Wars: Where Things Stand
GoPro's ITC complaint against Insta360 closed in February 2026 with a limited design patent win, but all five utility patents covering stabilisation and horizon levelling were ruled invalid or not infringed. Current Insta360 cameras are unaffected. DJI has separately filed suit in Shenzhen claiming patents developed by former employees now at Insta360 are rightfully DJI's under Chinese law, and has also filed Texas infringement suits; Insta360 has countersued in the U.S. on five patents.

HoverAir's Versa is now live on Indiegogo: a pocket camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor that converts to an autonomous drone when you attach the sold-separately Flight Kit. Camera specs include 4K60p, 10-bit HDR, Open Gate recording, 2x lossless zoom, and a three-axis gimbal that carries over into flight mode. Still a crowdfunding campaign, so treat availability and claimed specs accordingly.
