GoPro has formally kicked off a sale process. Board authorised, financial advisor hired, multiple unsolicited inquiries already on the table. This isn't idle speculation, it's a real corporate event. For working photographers who've built GoPro into their kit for POV shots, behind-the-scenes content, or extreme conditions work, the question now is whether to buy into the new Mission 1 lineup or wait and see who ends up owning this brand in twelve months. DJI already owns the action camera conversation. If a deep-pocketed acquirer steps in and actually resources GoPro properly, that competition gets interesting. If nobody bites, you're looking at a brand in managed decline.
