Handsworth Self-Portraits: 1979 Street Studio Book in Progress

Three Birmingham photographers gave Handsworth residents cable releases in 1979 so subjects could decide for themselves when to fire the shutter. The project ran as a counter to negative press coverage of the area. Dewi Lewis Publishing has partnered on a Kickstarter to bring the archive together as a book.
