AP photojournalist Sal Veder has died at 99. His 1973 frame 'Burst of Joy', shot at Travis Air Force Base as US POW Lt. Col. Robert Stirm reunited with his family after five years in captivity, won the 1974 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography and remains one of the most reproduced images of the Vietnam War period.
