Jack Beers shot a frame with a Mamiyaflex TLR as Jack Ruby entered the basement of Dallas police HQ on November 24, 1963. Bob Jackson, positioned lower and to his left, fired the shutter on a Nikon S3 six-tenths of a second later and caught the moment of impact. Beers got Ruby mid-stride; Jackson got the Pulitzer.
