Sony's two new G Master super-telephotos are so physically similar they weigh within 1g of each other and share the same 108mm barrel diameter. Both come in under a kilogram and use the same core glass arrangement. The 400mm F4.5 is USD $2,700 and the 600mm F6.3 is USD $3,700, a fraction of Sony's existing 400mm F2.8 and 600mm F4 primes at roughly $12,000-$13,000.
