Sony Cinema Line Prices Rise in Japan from September 1

Sony is raising Japan prices on seven Cinema Line cameras from September 1, with the FX3 taking the steepest hit at around 19 percent — up from ¥581,900 to ¥693,000. The FX6 body climbs roughly 12 percent to ¥1,045,000, the FR7 also rises significantly, and even the entry-level FX30 goes up ¥22,000. Sony attributes the increases to raw material, manufacturing, and logistics costs. Japanese buyers have a narrow window before the revision takes effect.
