Sony RM-DP7 and RM-DP5: How the Cinema Line Monitor-Controllers Actually Work

auto_awesomePixelfetch Take
Sony's RM-DP7 (7-inch) and RM-DP5 (5-inch) connect to Cinema Line cameras over two cables: USB-C for camera control and HDMI or SDI for the image feed. Both panels hit 2,000 nits. The DP5 is HDMI-only; the DP7 adds SDI. Wired Ethernet is also listed as a control route. No built-in wireless on either unit, though third-party wireless solutions work with the setup. Launch compatibility covers the FX30, FX2, FX3, and FX5. FX6 and BURANO support has not been confirmed.
