Viltrox listened. The display on the original 35mm f/1.2 LAB was a talking point, not a selling point, and the clicky multifunction ring frustrated anyone who shoots stills and wants repeatable aperture steps. The N version fixes both without touching the glass or the AF system. Same 15-element optical formula, same Quad Hyper Voice Coil motor, same weather sealing. Just a cleaner lens that behaves like a lens. For Sony shooters running a fast prime at f/1.2 for events or portraits, this is now the more sensible buy.
