Fujifilm GFX ETERNA 55 Firmware 1.10 + 2027 Roadmap
Fujifilm has released firmware 1.10 for the GFX ETERNA 55, fixing white balance instability when shooting with PL-mount lenses — both Fujifilm's own glass not yet updated to ETERNA 55 firmware and third-party optics. Alongside the update, Fujifilm published a public firmware roadmap through 2027 promising automatic electronic ND control, LANC support, in-camera MXF playback, additional anamorphic desqueeze options, and remote control of FUJINON Duvo lenses. Hard warning from Fujifilm: wrap any in-progress project before updating, as colour tone may change and matching footage across firmware versions will be a problem.

ARRI Sells Global Rental Business in Management Buy-Out
ARRI is selling its global rental business in a management buy-out backed by H2 Equity Partners, with Dana Harrison as incoming CEO of the standalone rental entity. Illumination Dynamics stays with ARRI. Separately, the FCC has fined companies the agency describes as DJI front operations, and Sony has announced the RX10 V along with the LYTIA L910 smartphone sensor. MID49 Builds Modular Rig System Around Sony FX5
MID49 is one of the first accessory makers out with a full modular rig for the Sony FX5. The key piece is a TWIST Mount EVF system that works around a confirmed Sony limitation: out of the box, the DVF-EL1 viewfinder and the XLR-H2 handle can't run at the same time. MID49's EVF extension cable fixes that, letting operators use the viewfinder alongside the handle's 96 kHz/32-bit float audio simultaneously. Also in the lineup: a rod clamp for the XLR-H2, swing-away V-Mount and Gold Mount power plates, and a quick-release baseplate with both ARCA and ARRI dovetail interfaces.
