The X Half launched at $849 with a lot of eye-rolls attached. That price was almost certainly padded for tariff risk during peak US trade war chaos, not a reflection of what Fujifilm actually wanted to charge. It's now sitting at $550 as a permanent price point. Still a lifestyle camera, not a workhorse. But at this price it's a wrap gift, a second body for street, or a deliberate palette cleanser between commercial jobs. The camera didn't change. The excuse not to buy one just got weaker.

The X Half was never a working tool. Fixed lens, touchscreen controls, no instant playback in Film Mode. Fujifilm built it for the slow-down crowd, not the deliver-by-Friday crowd. At $849 it was easy to dismiss. At $549 it starts making sense as a personal camera you actually carry — the kind that sits in your bag on days off, not on set. If you've been curious but couldn't justify it, this is the discount that changes the maths. Not a priority purchase. But no longer a hard no.
