If Emmett Till Lived: Exhibition at Museum of Contemporary Photography

The Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago is showing If Emmett Till Lived: Freedom on American Ground now through December. The exhibition is an imagined photo library, co-curated by Harvard professor Sarah Elizabeth Lewis and Reverend Wheeler Parker Jr, Emmett Till's cousin and the last surviving witness to his 1955 kidnapping. The work asks who gets to be remembered on American soil and how the country frames its own history.
